I recently joined the South Asian Visual Art Centre to participate in a Artist Documentation Workshop. It was lead by Photographer Michael van Leur. He answered all our questions and walked us all through many different methods to document work, depending on the medium. With notes in hand this weekend is going to be filled with gallery openings and documenting of my own work.

I found this artist webpage builder online that I am currently testing out. Sooo, for the time being you can see very limited amount of my work here. I kind of like the simplicity behind it but a lack of creative control. Perhaps I will just have to give in and pay someone to design a webpage I can manage there after.

Working on the design aspects of the website. So this is all I have so far. I am comparing peer sites to see how they display their own work. Some use flash and others just use simple HTML. Quick weekend warm up

After slipping by the show today and seeing what others have submitted I came home to paint. Much needed relaxing moments with my brushes, ink and sipping a cup of Kukicha from Davids Tea. Just before heading off to bed I quickly documented all my work from my thesis. Quite a lot to photograph but I will be adding them here sometime tomorrow. And then work on setting aside time to properly document them for portfolio use, just in time since I am going to be studying CSS/HTML/XHTML to create my website. You can not really continue into something without first understanding it's origin and how techniques. It will be a bit to go through all of these Chinese Painting books but in the end it should be worth it. I am also looking into getting a new portable easel that would make it easier for me to tilt the work space back more to utilize watercolours. I am going to do some warm up exercises

Took a bit to finish but it's a good start to find out how I can incorporate tea properly. Heading to my parents' this weekend so I can grab better paper amongst other things I need to grab (watercolours included). The room/studio thing is slowly compromising itself to a comfortable level. After work to day I slipped in to BMV (used book store) to see if they had any chinese classics, tea books etc that might inspire me. Instead I found this trio.
